The Pollyanna Practice offers an Extraclinical Therapy Program where our Speech-Language Therapist conducts sessions beyond the clinic to promote meaningful generalisation of skills. Sessions may take place in the child’s home, within school settings as transfer sessions, or through short-term intensive visits for out-of-station families.

Home and school-based sessions focus on embedding therapy goals into natural routines and academic environments to strengthen carryover. For families residing outside the city, we offer structured intensive blocks over 2–4 consecutive days, with multiple sessions per day to provide focused intervention, caregiver guidance, and active strategy implementation.

This approach ensures continuity of care and supports the application of therapeutic gains across real-life settings.

Supporting Development Early. Strengthening Foundations for Life. Early intervention is specialised, therapist-led support for children aged 2 to 6 years, during a critical period of brain development. It supports children who show developmental delays, are at risk of difficulties, or need structured help to build foundational skills for communication, regulation, and learning.

Early support strengthens neural pathways, prevents gaps from widening, and helps children transition more smoothly into preschool and formal learning.

Areas We Support:
• Sensory & Motor Development – body awareness, coordination, sensory regulation
• Speech & Language – receptive and expressive language, communication intent, AAC support
• Social Skills – joint attention, turn-taking, peer interaction, play
• Emotional Regulation – flexibility, coping skills, emotional understanding
• Learning Readiness – attention, early literacy, counting, letter awareness, task completion

Program Details:
• 16-week program
• 3 days per week (option for 5 days based on need)
• 2.5 hours per session
• Small mixed groups (approx. 3.5–6 years)
• Led by a multidisciplinary team (Speech-Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Special Educator)
• Two therapists present per session

Session Structure Includes:
Circle time with visual schedule, themed unit-based learning, gross motor and language activities, structured table tasks, snack time (feeding and social communication support), sensory regulation activities, pre-academic stations, AAC integration where needed, and open-ended play for generalisation.
Our approach is therapist-led, play-based, individualised, and collaborative — ensuring children build strong developmental foundations for lifelong learning.
